LANDING & PARK
ANNOUNCED ON OCTOBER 10, 2023
On Oct. 10, 2023, Hattiesburg, MS Mayor Toby Barker, held a press conference announcing the construction of a new canoe/kayak landing and park at the Sims Rd. crossing of the Leaf River. Several news outlets covered the event, and you can find complete video of the announcement on WDAM and/or other Hattiesburg media outlets online. Seven Rivers Canoe Club was represented at the conference, and was a promoter and supporter of this addition to the Pinebelt Blueways.
